Applied Mathematics | Quantum Computing | Astrophysics

I am a first-generation college student and single father pursuing a B.S. in Applied Mathematics at CSU Monterey Bay. I'm deeply engaged in research spanning quantum computing, and combinatorial knot theory. My mentors include, but are not limited to: Dr. Jennifer Clinkenbeard (CSUMB), Melanie Abarca (CSUMB), Alex Westerlund (CSUMB), Reina Yorba-Rico (CSUMB), Oscar Murillo-Espinoza (CSUMB), Dr. Lipika Deka (CSUMB), Gabriel Chavez (ASU), Pedro Moranchel Jr. (Princeton), Eric Barajas (CSUMB), Natasha Oehlman (CSUMB), Nizhoni Chow-Garcia (CSUMB), Kenny Garcia (CSUMB). My work reflects a passion for using mathematics to explore the structure of the universe and pioneer computational possibilities.
Mentorship
- Quantum computing: error-resistant gates, Hessian-enhanced algorithms, Langlands duality
- Astrophysics: gamma-ray bursts, gravitational waves, magnetar gravitation
- Knot theory: prime pretzel knots, topobits, topoconductors, and their computational applications
- SACNAS 2024: Attended the Phoenix Conference and spoke to nearly all of the physics, astrophysics, and math presenters.
- UROC Symposium 2025: Attended and engaged with the campus research community.
